We got that question- and its myriad of variations-a whole lot during our week-long stay at St. Michael's.  The teachers wanted to know why a bunch of enthusiastic 20-year-olds suddenly popped up in their classrooms, the kids wanted to know where their new playmates came from, and the woman running the seminar on Navajo weaving wanted to know why there were eleven random non-Natives in her hogan.   Continue reading »
