My name’s Madeline King and I’m a senior at Williams who’s co-organizing an Alternative Spring Break trip with Habitat for Humanity. I started this trip to Spartanburg, South Carolina when I was a sophomore because Spartaburg is right next to where I grew up and I was looking for a way to reconnect with and share my community. At Williams, I’ve had the opportunity to be very involved with community organizing and engagement, which has really shaped my time on campus and in the wider Berkshires. Next year, I’m going to be a member of the MATCH Corps at Match Charter Public High School in Boston and am excited to be starting my career in education.
